Defending the freedom of the press

This year's Local Newspaper Week runs from May 13th to 19th

This year the theme is press freedom, focussing on the importance of the role played by the local press in scrutinising authority and holding the powerful to account.

Joyce Sharland-Brown, a Tindle News editorial manager, spoke to Sir Ray Tindle about the theme of the week.
